Hannah's comments: This is a very sad and depressing fantasy series, with small moments of sci-fi. Personally , I'm satisfied that the minimum age rating of 16 is more than good enough. I would say, 18 years would be best. Why? Well, much violance (of course , there are wars), but also deep, depressing thoughts of the characters. In the last 5-6 episodes, it becomes even more violant, such as torture, ugly monsters, and in general, very evil things, deep things about Hell. I felt very queasy during the last episodes. However, the animation is very good. I feel it's unlike those anime I have seen before. Many nice "one-second" pictures. Also the background music is good, you definitely feel it's in "feodal"-time. the end sentence, yes, I will recommend this series, but you need to be in a happy mood and the ending...well, watch!
