In the year 2104, lots of local armed conflicts threaten the world peace. Soon, however, a new force appears: Dancouga, a gigantic super robot or uncertain origin. It appears out of nowhere and always aids the losing side. Its true objectives are unknown. At some point, four absolutely unrelated people, Aoi Hidaka, Kurara Tachibana, Sakuya Kamon, and Johnny Burnette, are invited by an organization that claims to be behind Dancouga... as its pilots. From there on, their search for the truth behind Dancouga's mission and the battle to end all wars begin.
Hannah's comments: Haha, this animé reminds me nearly immediatly about Tramsformers. The robots´ animations and the procedure to create Dancouga Nova and also, not to forget the phrase of how to fully transform the small aeroplanes to the big robot. Don´t give up after the 3-4 episodes, even if the animé feels boring and lack of story, because the story awakes more and more, and I almost think it had a little abrupt end. Dangouga Nova could have been a few episodes more. The best parts were when they actually was searcing for Dancougas Nova´s history and at last had an answer. The robots were cartooned in the way you can sometimes expect robots are - quite hard lines and many rektangle forms. The animation went better through the series. I liked the animations of the space, Earth , the spirits behind the organisation and all the "crash and boom" scenes and the sounds. If you are a fan of Transformers, this animé suits you good. Otherwise save your time to any other animé.
