||This is the story of college freshman Kanji Sasahara and his fellow members of the college club he joins, The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture (aka Genshiken), as he goes shopping for doujinshi, attends conventions and slowly but surely makes his way down the road to fandom.
Hannah's comments: It went faster than I expected through both OVA and season 2. So now I have seen 27 episodes of Genshiken. The manga is good and fun as well, but the things I really like with animé are all the faceexpressions suc as blushing, and bodies movement a la breakdance, which not always can be shown good in manga. So which character is best? Hmm...hard to tell, but maybe Saki. She tells all the time she isn´t any otaku, but still is a person who is involved in the clubs interests and have ideas about everything concerning manga, animé and films. Besides, she also has opinions, isn´t scared of to say what she has "on her heart".
Madarame has a funny voice. Just a note from me, who likes Sgt Sagara - Sousuke in Fullmetal Panic much; the voice of Tanaka, is the same person - Tomokazu SEKI.
A good animé to watch, especially if you are into animé and manga very much, watching the festivals for manga and animé, they are participating in, but of course, animé includes romantic, unsecure feelings "und so weiter".
