Hannah's comments: I can understand why some persons relate this anime to Cowboy Bebop. Gene as the headcharachter (compare to Spike), Jim as the computerfreak, and the rest coming to the gang ,parallel lines in those two series. But if you have seen so many anime as I have, you might questioning the names and characters themselves. Aisha, is animated as one of the characters in "Tenchi Muyo", Suzaka's name is familiar to "Fushigi Yugi" and Melfina's is an android, who's character will be in a way recognised to "Ghost in the Shell".Sometimes the Outlaw Star also reminds me about "Berserk", especially in the two last episodes. Both series's theme is bountyhunting and searching for SOMETHING. As Spike, Gene also sometimes dreams about his past,in his case it's about childhood. In Outlaw Star it also seems to be searching for "Galactic Leyline".Towards to this goal, there are some stops. Cowboy Bebop is much, much better! Maybe Outlaw is a "B-Cowboy Bebop"? Lack of background music, and a horrible 5-seconds break in the middle of each episode. One good thing, the endingsong after each episode. It's ok for amusement, but nothing really to remember afterwards and if you see the series, it's good if you have seen all the other anime I mentioned above.Anyhow there are much better series to buy, so pick up some other series.
